I Love New York

New York is a state folks, not just a city.
I head back every summer at the end of June/early July to visit the family.
The gardens upstate are exceptionally good this year, something about the weather.
Also something about being able to actually walk on the grass.
Dad's tractor and garden.

Clover and mushrooms after the rain.

Boats. Urban garden (no need to grow in rooftops in Buffalo).

Daisy season is June 20-30th every year. Little bro at Olear's Pond.

About Me

Charleston, South Carolina
I grew up in Buffalo, NY where it is FREEZING cold most of the time. After graduating from college, I sought sunnier weather and moved to Fabulous Las Vegas, taught computer graphics, video game design, and Fine Arts for nearly 4 years, came back to NY, froze, finished my Masters, became a technologist, and now hail from Charleston, SC where there is more than enough sun, surf, tennis, and great people! I've been designing since a very young age (got my first, very own sewing machine as a 6th grade graduation present), worked at the 100 year old company, Friend Manufacturing (in my highschool/early college years) making patters, sewing, riveting, and welding bags for the orchard industry (did I mention in an old cold storage with two lightbulbs and 4 of my oldest and dearest friends? Many, MANY fun times). In March of 2009 I launched JULIE WHEAT DESIGN at Charleston Fashion Week. Since then it has been a whirlwind of creativity, thread, fabric, leather schrapnel, new friends and acquaintances!
