New York is a state folks, not just a city.
I head back every summer at the end of June/early July to visit the family.
The gardens upstate are exceptionally good this year, something about the weather.
Also something about being able to actually walk on the grass.
Dad's tractor and garden.

Clover and mushrooms after the rain.

Boats. Urban garden (no need to grow in rooftops in Buffalo).

Daisy season is June 20-30th every year. Little bro at Olear's Pond.

I worked with Ayoka Lucas, of Charleston Magaznie and Director of Charleston Fashion Week, to put her 'Charleston Fashion Week' day clutch vision to life with a Julie Wheat twist. Larger than most of my bags, and featuring recycled bits from Charleston Fashion Week 2009, it was auctioned off for $190! One of the higher selling pieces that evening.

Florida surfing trip

This was a well needed, long overdue vacation to Florida's east coast. We went to join the other longboardotneters at the first annual Harbor Weekend East Coast. Turned out that I was the only gal in the group with the most sought after board...my beloved Harbor Wingpin.

Ok, we also went to Satellite Beach. Pretty good surf there too, although strange part of town. I bet they do bad things in this van. Nice rims.
